We are
approximately one mile from the town centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed in the small
fishing village of Spittal a suburb of Berwick.
Explore the town following The Lowry trail. He visited Berwick many times and the sites for his drawings and paintings of the town are identified on this walk covering Berwick, Tweedmouth and Spittal.
Spittal is an ideal base for exploring Bamburgh, Holy Island, Farne Islands and the Scottish Borders.We are also only an hour away by train from Edinburgh or Newcastle upon Tyne.
The coastline of Spittal and the Tweed estuary is a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty.
